About Latitude 43 Music Fest (Formerly Pubfest)

PubFest was born in 2009 after its founder, Ken Scibetta, saw a need for greater fundraising efforts in the Niagara County region for his favorite charity, the Variety Kids Telethon. Ken and his family have been involved with Variety Kids for over thirty years, and he wanted to continue this tradition in a new and creative way. What began as a one-day event in Academy park on a Sunday has now blossomed into a three-day festival at one of the most amazing outdoor concert venues in NYS, ARTPARK, and gave us reason to change the name to Latitude 43 Music Fest to attract even bigger attention now and in the future!! We have raised over $80,000 as well as becoming the largest fundraiser for the Variety Kids Telethon in the Niagara River Region in the past 5 years!

In order to keep this tradition growing, we need YOUR help and support in making this annual event a continued success. Along with all the great food, entertainment and music you’ve come to expect, this year LATITUDE 43 MUSIC FEST will be headlined by 5 national recording artists & 9 amazing local acts over 3 days!! Friday Blues, Saturday Rock & Sunday Country!! We anticipate this being our largest year yet! Please consider becoming a part of this very special and fun-filled weekend. All monies raised during this event will stay in Western New York to help the Variety Kids Telethon, Lewiston Fire #1 & NY State Parks!! We thank you ahead of time for your support and look forward to a successful 2014 Latitude 43 Music Festival!

What Variety Kids Telethon Is All About

The Variety Kids Telethon of Buffalo and Western New York, is a charity with a 78-year-old tradition of caring for children, the sick, handicapped and the underprivileged on the Niagara Frontier. The organization is most known for its annual Variety Kids Telethon broadcasted on Channel 7 every March. This year marked the telethon’s 52nd Anniversary, which makes it the longest locally produced telethon in the world.

As successful as the telethons have been, the needs of Variety children continue to grow. Many special events, including LATITUDE 43 MUSIC FEST (Formerly PUBFEST), throughout the year add to the final total that Variety is able to present to deserving charities.

Funds raised through the annual Telethon benefit the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, the Robert Warner M.D. Center for Children with special needs and many other Western New York childrens charities. Some of these charities include SABAH, Boys and Girls Clubs, the Niagara Falls Hanci Variety Peace Camp, St. Mary’s School for the Deaf, Cradle Beach and Make A Wish to name a few.
